NOTES: There is no ISO common name for this substance; the name “kasugamycin” is approved by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and is also approved in China (春雷霉素).
This substance is named after the actinomycete from which it was isolated, Streptomyces kasugaensis.
When this substance is used as a salt, its identity should be stated, for example kasugamycin hydrochloride [19408-46-9].
