Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis
Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis (Bti) is a bacterium which occurs naturally in the environment. It has a highly specific mode of action and effectively controls developing mosquito larvae. After eaten and ingested by the larvae, Bti crystals become activated by the larvae’s specific gut pH and enzymes. Larvae stop feeding and die before they can pupate and reach adults. Bti has no demonstrated adverse affects on birds, mammals, fish or other wildlife.
1. Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (Bti), Liquid Formulation
The preparation is produced by the ferment technology of Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis. After fermentation, the fermented liquid was compressed to liquid formulation.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis, 1200 International units(ITU) per milligram.(Equivalent to 1.28 ITU/liter) ……………………………………… 1.2%
Inert ingredients …………………………………………………………………98.8%
DOSE TATE AND HABITAT
the dosage and habitat is listed in the table below.
clear stagnant water with slight infection of mosquito |
1 ml per square meter |
roadside ditches, flood water, standing pools, catch basins, pastures, storm eater retention areas, tidal water, salt marshes and rice fields. etc. |
2 ml per square meter |
pulleted water (such as sewage lagoons, animal waste lagoons), infected and dirty water with high content of organic material |
3 ml per square meter |
According to the dosage of the table, put the liquid formulation of Bti in the sprayer and dilute to 1-2 tenth with water, then spry uniformly over the surface of water where mosquito larvae are emerged. The larvae of mosquito will be killed within 24 hours. Re-apply every 6-11 days for best results.
Storage stability: storage for 1 year in cool (1-30℃), dry place, out of sunlight.
Packing: 5 Liters per bottle.
2. Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (Bti), Granule Formulation
The product of Bti granules are corn cob granules coating with Bti. This formulation can be applied to the surface of mosquito infested water bodies by hand or mechanical means conveniently.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis, 200 International units(ITU) per milligram(Equivalent to 0.091 billion ITUs per pound) …0.2%
Inert ingredients (corn cob)…………………………………………………………………98.8%
Bulk Density……………………………………………………………………………0.39 g/cm3
Mesh size………………………………………………………………………………… 2-4 mm
DOSE TATE AND HABITAT
the dosage and habitat is listed in the table below.
clear stagnant water with slight infection of mosquito |
3 g per square meter |
roadside ditches, flood water, standing pools, catch basins, pastures, storm eater retention areas, tidal water, salt marshes and rice fields. etc. |
4 g per square meter |
pulleted water (such as sewage lagoons, animal waste lagoons), infected and dirty water with high content of organic material |
5 g per square meter |
Granule formulation can be used conveniently, take some preparation according to the dosage table, and simply sprinkle uniformly over water surface directly. For residual long term control, re-apply every 8-15 days.
Storage stability: storage for 2 years in cool (1-30℃), dry place, out of sunlight.
Packing: 10 kg per bag
